Organisers of UTECH Europe, the world-leading polyurethanes exhibition and conference returning to the MECC in Maastricht, the Netherlands from 13 to 15 April 2021, are calling for papers for the three-day strategic conference.

Polyurethane industry topics that the conference will cover include business strategy, materials, processing, design, legislation and regulation, sustainability, research, development and innovation. Papers are invited from all areas of the polyurethanes industry including flexible foam, rigid foam, CASE (coatings, adhesives, sealants and elastomers), blowing agents, flame retardants, spray foam technologies and polyurethane dispersions. Conference organisers also welcome papers covering the latest innovations in of bio-based technologies, 3D printing, polyurethane applications of nanomaterials and the science of polyurethanes, additives and products.

Companies wishing to present a paper at the UTECH Europe 2021 conference should send name, job title, company name, contact details, paper title, and a brief synopsis to conference producer Clare Boldurmaz clareb@boldurmaz.com, or complete the online submission form at: https://www.utecheurope.eu/call-for-papers. Submissions must be received by 31 July 2020.

Factors determining which papers are selected for presentation at the conference will include the overall advancement of and contribution to polyurethane industry knowledge, a sound evidence base, timeliness and relevance, value to the industry, objectivity and originality.

Over 90 per cent of exhibition space for the 2021 event has already been sold. Exhibiting companies confirmed include industry leaders BASF, Covestro, Dow Europe, Evonik, Huntsman, Repsol, Shell Chemicals Europe, Solvay and Wanhua Borsodchem as well as machinery suppliers, systems houses, technical consultancies, and test laboratories.

Held at the MECC in Maastricht, where The Netherlands, Germany and Belgium meet, UTECH Europe is uniquely placed as the only truly international exhibition and conference for the polyurethanes industry. Unique to Europe is the sheer breadth of the applications of polyurethanes technology from automotive interiors, tiny medical devices, textiles and footwear through to insulation, adhesives and coatings. When last held in 2018, the triennial UTECH Europe attracted over 200 exhibiting companies and a total footfall over three days of 10,113.
